“Enemy” won’t be one of the three new tracks on The Weeknd’s upcoming Trilogy, and that’s a good thing.

In the weeks since he announced there’d be a few new cuts on the mastered, major label re-releases of his first trio of mixtapes, Abel Tesfaye’s been tiptoeing through new videos for old songs and censored mixes of fan favourites.

We don’t know how this new song fits into the mix, but that it exists means Trilogy could have a proper follow-up sooner rather than later. Maybe this was what he was talking about in the letter he wrote after putting out the video for “Rolling Stone.”

“You will continue to get what you fell in love with, and I will continue to give you what you ask for. I’ll never make you wait again,” read the letter. “With that said being said expect more from me very soon leading up to “Trilogy.” Thank you again for your patience and loyalty, I will not disappoint.”
