Yesterday we posted a video of Ataris singer Kristopher Roe having an all out temper tantrum on stage after his drummer missed more than a few beats during “Your Boyfriend Sucks,” and last night he went online to explain the tirade.

Reading off his iPhone with bandmates Bryan Nelson and Thomas Holst standing awkwardly behind him, Roe says that while he wishes he would have handled the situation slightly differently, there’s “only so much bullshit that the band can take.”

He goes on to say that drummer Rob Felicetti had been drinking for hours before the set and that the band was surprised when he “couldn’t even play a beat.”

“There were points where he would stop, completely miss a cue, miss a beat or not even play the song altogether,” he explains.

After calling Felicetti his friend and noting that he doesn’t want to throw him under the bus, Roe explains that the tantrum came after several weeks of build-up of having to “babysit the guy.”

Nothing is confirmed in the video, but it does sound like they’re looking for a new drummer. Again. They’ve gone through 5 since forming in 1995.
