Fiona Apple arrested and in custody for drug possession

Fiona Apple was arrested for possession of hash at one of America’s strictest stringent borders, reports TMZ.

The 35-year-old was apparently busted at the Sierra Blanca, Texas border for possession of hash and a small bit of weed, but at least she’s in good company—it’s the same border that’s nailed Snoop Dogg and Willie Nelson in the past.

No word yet on how the arrest is going to affect the rest of her tour, but Apple is scheduled to play in Austin, Texas later tonight, a 7-hour drive from the Hudspeth County jail where she’s currently being held.
