According to Timberlake’s publicist, there are no plans for a new solo album. We feel like we’ve been punched in the gut. Since we’re still having trouble using our words, we’ve assembled another collection of images that comes close to representing the deep disappointment we’re dealing with over here at Pop Hunter. Check ‘em out below. Meanwhile, we’ll be in a gutter somewhere, crying a river.

Yesterday, we reported that Justin Timberlake would be making music again, thanks to a hot tip in an interview with Timbaland’s vocal producer Jim Beanz. Beanz seemed to indicate that he would soon be working on Timbaland’s Shock Value 3, in addition to a follow-up to FutureSexLoveSounds.

We reacted, as anyone would — with endless joy. Finally! Justin Timberlake is making music again.

Not so fast. According to Timberlake’s publicist, there are no plans for a new solo album. Timberlake will be helping out on a few tracks for Shock Value 3, and that’s it. What a buzzkill. It turns out that Timberlake’s publicist is a more reliable source than a dude named Jim Beanz.

We feel like we’ve been punched in the gut. A few Timberlake-assisted Timbaland songs is a far cry from a JT solo album. Now Shock Value 3 is going to feel like a shitty consolation prize.

Since we’re still having trouble using our words, we’ve assembled another collection of images that comes close to representing the deep disappointment we’re dealing with over here at Pop Hunter. Check ’em out below. Meanwhile, we’ll be in a gutter somewhere, crying a river.
