Today, all five of the original Backstreet Boys reunited on the Good Morning America summer concert stage after a six year hiatus. BSB announced that there will be a Backstreet Boys cruise in October of 2013. Here are 5 other musicians who would be perfect for the cruise ship concert experience.

Today, all five of the original Backstreet Boys–Nick, Brian, A.J., Kevin, and Howie–reunited on the Good Morning America summer concert stage after a six year hiatus.

The group performed “I Want It That Way,” and “Larger Than Life,” and sat down for an interview, in which they revealed the news that they’re working on a brand new album for the beginning of 2013.

As if a new album wasn’t enough of a sign that BSB are hard up for cash, they also announced that there will be a Backstreet Boys cruise in October of 2013. For the low price of $699, you can rub elbows with A.J. MacLean at the All-You-Can-Scarf shrimp bar.

Cruising the high seas with your favourite musician might’ve seemed like a lofty dream ten years ago, but in 2012, it’s become a pretty viable entertainment experience for artists and fans alike. KISS, Kenny Chesney, Bret Michaels, and Weezer have all offered their fans the chance to mix and mingle with other fans on open water. R. Kelly even advertised the “Love Letter Cruise,” before cancelling the trip, claiming he was never paid.

All of this musical cruise talk begs an obvious question — which musicians out there would be perfect for the cruise ship concert experience?

5 Artists Who Would Be Perfect For A Musical Cruise

1. Taio Cruz – “The Taio Cruz Cruise”

2. The Lonely Island – “You’re On A Boat”

3. Alestorm, the world’s premiere pirate metal band – “Terror On The High Seas”

4. Celine Dion – “Our Hearts Will Go On: The Cruise”

5. Aqua – “The Life In Plastic Cruise”
