Let's go party.

When “Barbie Girl” was released, Princess Diana was still alive, Titanic hadn’t yet been released and Evander Holyfield still had both of his ears. So… it’s been a minute. But while frontwoman Lene Nystrøm has kept busy, both as a solo artist, actress and judge on Denmark’s version of The Voice, Aqua will never be bigger than the song that bumped them to the top of the charts.

Obviously, nobody is more aware of this than Aqua themselves, and now the UK Sun is reporting that Lene and René are getting the band back together for the song’s 20th birthday.

Being that it was released in May of 1997, we’re still a ways away, but the Danish quartet are apparently gearing up to tour Denmark to celebrate. If this all sounds familiar, it isn’t the first time they’ve reunited — they previously got back together in 2007 to celebrate the song’s 10th anniversary.

Hopefully 2027’s reunion gives “Dr. Jones” the credit it deserves. Until then, we wait; they party.
