After months of speculation, it seems that American Idol producers finally have their judgmental dream team. According to the Hollywood Reporter, Mariah Carey will be joined by hip-hop diva Nicki Minaj and Australian shiny-headed guitar-master Keith Urban. TMZ says that Katy Perry turned down a $12 million offer. That made us wonder what kind of offers were on the table for rumoured Idol judges like Kanye West, Diddy, and Alanis Morissette.

After months of speculation — I heard that everyone from Art Garfunkel to Ziggy Marley was in the running — it seems that American Idol producers finally have their judgmental dream team.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, Mariah Carey will be joined by hip-hop diva Nicki Minaj and Australian shiny-headed guitar-master Keith Urban.

Mariah Carey is earning a reported $18 million dollars, Nicki Minaj’s deal is worth $8 million, and Urban could fetch as much as $3-4 million once his deal is finalized. That settles the mystery as to who is perceived to be worth more money, but it doesn’t settle the debate as to which Idol panel member has the best hair. It’s Keith, right? Gotta be Keith.

TMZ is reporting that Katy Perry actually turned down an offer of $20 million. Considering Katy made just under $12 million last year, a cool $20 mil must have been awful tempting.

If Katy Perry rejected a $20 million dollar offer, what were some of the other offers floating around for other rumoured Idol judge potentials? Let’s speculate.

Nick JonasAmerican Idol offered to buy Jonas out of his exploitative camp counselor contract at Camp Rock. (Rejected)

Kanye WestAmerican Idol offered to let Kanye start every judging critique with “Imma let you finish, but…” (Rejected)

Pharrell WilliamsAmerican Idol offered to get Mac Miller to stop texting him all day long. (Rejected)

Bret MichaelsAmerican Idol offered to let Michaels conduct “private auditions” on his Rock Of Love bus. (Rejected)

Adam LambertAmerican Idol offered to force Kris Allen to be Lambert’s personal servant for the duration of the show. (Rejected)

DiddyAmerican Idol offered to let Diddy pretend he knows something about singing. (Rejected)

Alanis Morissette – American Idol promised to never make Alanis change the words to “One Hand In My Pocket” to “I got one hand in my pocket / and the other one is sippin’ a Coca-Cola because judges on Idol are contractually obligated to drink coke on air.” (Rejected)
