Anyone who’s vaguely familiar with Rick Ross knows that he has a reputation for spouting off endlessly about how much money he has, and how many kilos of drugs he’s supposedly moving. We thought it would be a fun exercise to comb through the lyric book for God Forgives, I Don’t and make a list of each reference. So, what does Rick Ross reference more? Drugs or Luxury Items?

From “Hustlin'” to “Aston Martin Music,” anyone who’s vaguely familiar with Rick Ross knows that he has a reputation for spouting off endlessly about how much money he has, and how many kilos of drugs he’s supposedly moving. A lot of people discount Ross’ drug-related claims, because he used to be a correctional officer. To those people, I say this: maybe he was the guy letting people stick balloons of drugs up their anuses, as they entered the prison. Just a thought.

Regardless of whether his lyrics are legitimate, boastful, exaggerated, or even completely fictional, we thought it would be a fun exercise to comb through the lyric book for God Forgives, I Don’t and make a list of every time Rozay references either drugs, luxury items, or even both within the same line.

For the purposes of the count, any mention of an illicit substance will be considered a drug-related reference. Any mention of an expensive personal item, including clothing, jewellery, vehicles, and basketball tickets will be considered a reference to a luxury item. And for the record, no, a bottle of Ciroc is not considered a luxury item.

So, last call to place your bets. Which do you think Rick Ross references more on God Forgives, I don’t — drugs and drug dealing, or luxury items?
