Dan Deacon’s remix of Carly Rae Jepsen’s “Call Me Maybe” is a different kind of take on the song, layering an acapella version of the track over itself 147 times. Call it a commentary on the track’s inescapable nature if you’d like or call it irritating for the sake of being irritating. As for us? Potato/potato… a saying you’d think wouldn’t translate to text but, then, that’s the joke.

The track is taken off a totally necessary and presumably ultra listenable “Call Me Maybe” covers compilation. Deacon, meanwhile, is prepping the release of America, his Domino debut due out on August 28th.
