High on Fire have cancelled a slew of tour dates with the news that founder and frontman Matt Pike has entered rehab for alcohol abuse.
The Quietus reports that Pike looked unwell at a recent gig with Sleep, his previous band, who are currently celebrating the re-release of their acclaimed Dopesmoker album. Similarly, High on Fire was set to tour on the success of their recently released De Vermis Mysteriis.
We’d like to issue some support for the guy and hope for his speedy recovery. Tour dates are easy to reschedule and absolutely secondary to your health. Get better, dude.
