Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins to play Iggy Pop in CBGB movie

After last week’s announcement that actor Malin Akerman was slated to play Debbie Harry in the upcoming CBGB movie, three more roles have been announced, the most intriguing of which being Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins as Iggy Pop.

It totally works, and we’re surprised we’ve never made that likeness connection before. Must be the beard.

Mickey Sumner (The Borgias) has been named to portray Patti Smith, and Johnny Galecki (The Big Bang Theory) will play band manager Terry Ork. [via Variety]
