It’s the beginning of summer, so I realize that a computer game might be a tough sell at this point. Who would want to be sitting indoors, staring at a browser, when you could be outside eating ice cream? Nice weather aside, if you’ve ever wondered what it’s like to be Kanye West on Twitter, you might want to bring your ice cream indoors and sit down for a few minutes with Galactic Cafe’s new Flash game Life In The West. It's like The Oregon Trail, but with more fur pillows.

It’s the beginning of summer, so I realize that a computer game might be a tough sell at this point. Who would want to be sitting indoors, staring at a browser, when you could be outside eating ice cream, or tying ribbons around oak trees and whatnot?

Nice weather aside, if you’ve ever wondered what it’s like to be Kanye West on Twitter, you might want to bring your ice cream indoors and sit down for a few minutes with Galactic Cafe’s new Flash game Life In The West. It’s like The Oregon Trail, but with more fur pillows.

Life In The West let’s you log in to Twitter with Kanye’s account. When inspiration strikes, you can tweet to earn “Kanye Points,” which you can spend on following accounts like Taylor Swift, Barack Obama, and Kim Kardashian. Watch your followers and mentions grow exponentially by the second. People will hang on every inane world you say, feeding your egomania with every 140-character burst.

This isn’t the first Kanye flash game to make its rounds on the internet. Earlier this year, we wrote about the less-conceptual aracade-style game “Kanye Zone,” in which (you guessed it) you can’t let Kanye into his zone.

Play Life In The West here.

If this game made you nostalgic for Kanye’s more active tweeting days like it did for us, this “Josh Groban Sings Kanye West’s Tweets” YouTube classic from Jimmy Kimmel Live should help assuage the longing.
