PARENTAL ADVISORY: The Darcys share old photos and the secret to avoiding the flute in grade six

The Darcys have had a busy six months. They announced their signing to Arts & Crafts, released their sophomore full-length as a free download, blew up the CN Tower, and re-recorded Steely Dan’s 1977 album, Aja.

We featured the band in the first episode of Parental Advisory, a new show co-produced with our brothers and sisters at Exclaim! An interview-based half-hour mixing interviews and music videos, the show explores the integral but quiet (and sometimes hilarious) role parents play in the formation of many successful bands — from first instruments to basement rehearsals to first tours to first TV appearances.
