Long rumoured Jimi Hendrix movie starring Andre 3000 finally set to start shooting

Rumours that Outkast’s André 3000 would star as Jimi Hendrix in an on screen adaptation of the legendary guitarist’s life have been floating around ever since The Love Below dominated the charts back in 2003, but reports out of Ireland suggest that the long-standing speculation might finally be a reality.

According to the Irish Film and Television Network, All Is By My Side is currently in pre-production and looking to start filming in about three weeks. The movie is set to tell the story of Hendrix’s time in England, where he went to record Are You Experienced in 1966.
