Kanye West will reportedly premiere his new short film, Cruel Summer, at this year’s Cannes festival. And no, we don’t think the title is in any way related to that Bananarama song.
The film, which is part of West’s DONDA, is described as “unlike anything West has attempted before,” with Consequence of Sound pointing out that it’ll be presented as an “immersive 7-screen experience,” lending credence to its intentions of being both an art installation and a movie.
Cruel Summer stars Aziz Ansari (obviously) and Scott Mescudi (better known as Kid Cudi) and will screen in Cannes from May 23rd to the 25th.
