New album/tour/downloads from Calgary's Woodpigeon

I’m hearing news that Calgary’s Woodpigeon will be busy in the new year. They’ll be doing some winter touring in January and February to support the release of their newest album Die Stadt Muzikanten (Jan 12th, Boompa Records). Produced by Arran Fisher (acoustickitty), expect what we normally expect from Woodpigeon, lush orchestral indie folk perfect for cold winter nights. This album is inspired by songwriter Mark Hamiltons’ travels in Germany and the comparative lives of his ancestors. As well, the album essentially be a double, including 12 more tracks entitled BALLADEER / to all the guys I’ve loved before.
And if they weren’t giving us enough, I’ve got a track off the record called Empty-Hall Sing-Along

And a Christmas song xoxmas to tie you over until then.
