Earl Sweatshirt was away when the rest of the Odd Future collective was signing record deals, getting their own imprints and working out deals to star in their own TV shows, but today news came out that the 18-year-old Golf Wang prodigy is joining in on the fun with his own Columbia Records imprint, Tan Cressida.

Apparently he’ll be allowed to associate with Odd Future (names and logos) on his own albums even though the rest of the collective is going to be putting music out on their own Odd Future Records. As the New York Times points out, Columbia falls under the same massive umbrella as Sony, who also distributes Odd Future Records through RED Distribution.

The big news in all of this though is that Earl’s finally, officially working on a few albums, a solo cut and follow-up to EARL as well as a collaboration with Tyler, the Creator called EarlWolf. No word on when those are coming out, but that they are is enough.
