This is exactly why he doesn't like shit and doesn't go outside.

Don’t touch Earl Sweatshirt at a show without permission. If you do, you’ll get decked into next week and the crowd will be cheer as you get pummelled Streets of Rage style.

The Odd Future rapper punched a touchy-feely fan in the head at a show in Australia. The concertgoer snuck up behind to try his hand at offering up either a hug or a choke. Earl responded with a pair of quick lefts and the stage crasher got an a less-than-dignified exit from the stage. Would you like to see video of the whole affair? Of course you would. Who doesn’t like seeing an obnoxious fan get their shit caved in?

“This idiot ruined my favorite song.” shared Instagram video poster Ashleigh Mccoombes. “Lucky @soapmanwun got a few punches in and garret from @trash_talk was there to get a kick in.”

As you can tell from Ashleigh’s commentary, Garrett Stevenson from Trash Talk lent a hand getting rid of the dude.

Pitchfork nabbed a statement from an Earl Sweatshirt representative and they stressed that the fan’s “hug” was suspect.

“That fan is not hugging him. He approached from behind and his arms are around Earl’s face and neck,” said one rep.

“Earl was attacked as far as any artist performing onstage would be concerned that is ambushed from behind, not hugged.” declared another.

Earl addressed the subject on Twitter and swears he’s not a “tough guy.” He’s just a dude that wants people to respect personal space.

It’s a good rule of thumb for life: Respect personal space and you’ll be in a good place.
