That the Feist and Mastodon —the extraordinarily named FEISTODONRecord Store Day single of them covering each other is on the internet today, the day before RSD, is why the day is a token more than anything and proves that the internet shall inherit the earth afterall. It also proves that this was a terrific idea.

Feist takes on Mastodon’s “Black Tongue,” while Mastodon does a stellar—dare we say beautiful? It’s beautiful—version of Feist’s “A Commotion.” Now that we’ve heard it, we still say this is one of the best things coming out tomorrow.
