Broken Social Scene's reunion just keeps getting better.

Aside from the odd festival appearance, indie rock collective (and Cancon farm system) Broken Social Scene had (mostly) been on hiatus for the past half-decade. Recently, however, they reconvened for their first tour since 2011. Better still, they also announced that they’d be going into the studio to record the long-awaited follow-up to 2010’s Forgiveness Rock Record.

Now, to complete the trifecta of Social Scene news, BSS’ breakout star Leslie Feist has confirmed in an Instagram post that she’ll be on the new record.

A core member of the group between 2002 and 2005, Feist went on to huge solo success. Since her schedule only allowed her to sporadically join her bandmates onstage and in the studio, this is pretty big news for fans (as evidenced by the comments of “oh mahhh gaaaah,” “I can’t breathe,” and a healthy collection of the trusty standby “I can’t even.”).

No title or release date has been announced so the album probably won’t be dropping for a while, but in the meantime, tide yourself over with this fan-shot vid of Feist and Metric frontwoman/BSS member Emily Haines performing “Sentimental X’s” with the band back in 2010.
