Keeping up with pop stars isn’t easy. What’s worse is sometimes differentiating what news is important versus the forgettable stuff. Thank the high heavens y’all because each week we guarantee to breakdown the news in hopes of turning you into the resident tastemaker within your circle of friends.

Mad Decent Announces Digital Subscription Service, People Still Subscribe to shit? – Diplo’s record label Mad Decent has announced that they will launch a digital subscription service where members will be able to receive the first listen at all the label’s releases as well as remixes, mixtapes, live sets, videos, a discount at the Mad Decent store, a membership and a secret handshake. Find out all about it here.

Roc-a-Fella co-founder traffics drugs, has us thinking the music biz isn’t so lucrative – Something seems strange here: Jay Z is rolling in the cash from all of the Roc-a-Fella success, so how is it that Kareem Burke isn’t in the same situation? Burke is facing a minimum of five years in prison for conspiracy to distribute more than 1,000 kilos of marijuana. I don’t know much about drugs and dealing but that sounds like a lot. Tsk Tsk.

Maybach from Otis video auctioned – Considering this car retails for a cool $350,000, you would think that it would auction for a really insane price. You are wrong. It seems that society is not so into the whole deconstructed/tricked-out version because it only sold for $60,000.

Westboro Baptist Church pickets Radiohead show, probably just wanted to hear some Thom Yorke – Nigel Godrich was pleased with the picketing and sited that it was the highlight of the tour so far. The Westboro people should really just let go – it’s okay to like Radiohead.
