Though they’re currently supporting their new album, undun, the Roots’ new video released today gets behind a much older cause. “Ain’t Gonna Let Nobody Turn Me Around” is an old, Civil Rights-era freedom song the band covered on 2009’s Soundtrack for a Revolution, the soundtrack for which is set for release on February 14th.
Other artists appearing on the soundtrack include TV on the Radio (who are featured in this song), John Legend, the Blind Boys of Alabama and more. Watch the video for “Ain’t Gonna Let Nobody Turn Me Around” above, via Rolling Stone. It’s powerful stuff.
