Tyler, the Creator arrested for vandalism after smashing a bunch of gear in LA

Tyler, the Creator’s year to remember has come to a pretty dry end after the controversial rapper was arrested last night in LA after “allegedly” smashing a  bunch of sound equipment during a show at the Roxy. We say “allegedly” because we have to; the Awl came across video that pretty plainly proves that, yeah, his increasingly dangerous live show took a turn for the worst and that, yeah, he broke some shit.

No word on what happens next, but a photo of Tyler in cuffs has surfaced (naturally it’s been run through an instagram filter). Though he’s often looked at as a kid, he’s 20; that means there’s a good chance this gets treated seriously. As it should. Audio equipment does not come cheap.
