As an artform, garden gnomes have become pretty predictable: When most of us envision the humanoid lawn ornaments, we think of little dudes with red Santa caps and white beards. Esty store owner Ian Griffiths, though, is rebooting the gnome game with his, uh, gnarly creations—his online boutique features wrestling-themed munchkins (see: the excellent-titled Razor Ragnome), cartoon-centric figurines (see: Spongebob Squarepants), and even cereal-themed statues (as with Cap’n Crunch). But our favourite Griffiths creations? His musical gnomes. It’s clear that dude loves his rap and metal, and he’s decked out his custom creations with everything from corpse paint to the cover of Converge’s Jane Doe. Want one? Prices range from roughly $40-100, and they ship out from Boston. Cop one at Ianthegnome’s Etsy store.
