Attention house seekers: singer and esteemed author R. Kelly‘s 11,140 square foot suburban Chicago mansion is newly on the market, according to the Chicago Tribune.

Kelly built the gated 16-room mansion in 1997. This past July, the house was pulled into a $2.9 million foreclosure lawsuit, with Kelly having failed to make monthly mortgage payments for more than a year. At the time, it was said Kelly was trying to force his bank to to renegotiate his loan. Now, it’s been listed in a short sale, meaning that he owes more on the property than it’s worth. Features include eight full baths, six half baths, four fireplaces, an indoor pool and a theater room. Outside are private wooded land, a private lake and 12-foot wrought iron and concrete-encased fencing.

Listing agent James Mattz with Century 21 said that one of the house’s best feature is its indoor pool. “You’d think you were in the jungles of the Amazon. It’s not a pool room, it’s a tropical experience.”

In other R. Kelly news, he’s just announced his R. Kelly Cruise. The Love Letter Cruise takes place in a year’s time, and will feature R. Kelly performances and R. Kelly themed events. Maybe he just needs to live on a boat for a while.
