Sleigh Bells have announced that their sophomore album, Reign of Terror, will be out on Valentine’s Day 2012. Calling the album “the sonic equivalent of a beautiful shotgun to the head,” the duo promises that the songs on Reign of Terror are “as crushing and authoritative as their title suggests.”

Those titles, by the way, can be found below. Sleigh Bells have also put out a promo video for the album, which you can check out above; it won’t provide much in the way of info, but it’s kind of an interesting watch.

The follow-up to 2010’s Treats, Reign of Terror is self-produced by the band’s guitarist, Derek Miller. The band is planning to tour in the lead-up to the album’s release, hitting the stage with pretentious black metallers Liturgy and electronic DJ Diplo, making for one hell of a polarizing collection of concert goers. Unfortunately there aren’t any Canadian dates scheduled.
