Listen to another new Common song, "The Believer," featuring John Legend

One thing that happens when an album’s release is pushed back is that most of its songs tend to sneak out before the album hits stores. There’s perhaps no better example of this than Common‘s newest disc, The Dreamer, The Believer. Originally expected out towards the end of November, the release of the rapper’s follow-up to Common’s polarizing Universal Mind Control was ultimately pushed back to December 20th. Because of this, nearly the whole album has been previewed up to this point, with one of the album’s two title tracks acting as the latest tease.

Featuring John Legend, “The Believer” follows the trend of redemption for Common, whose new songs seem to be signalling a return to his true, top form as a Chicago hip-hop traditionalist.
