The notion of dubstep has changed significantly since critics started tossing the term around. Four years ago, dubstep was mostly wobble free and largely drew its pop-culture lineage–as far as success is concerned–to Burial’s Untrue. And though his mystique has dwindled since revealing his identity, Burial is working as hard as ever to keep the sound he loves alive with Hyperdub records tweeting today (via owner Kode9, whose Twitter is private) that Burial’s follow-up to this past March’s Street Halo EP, Kindred, should be hitting stores soon.

Little else is known about the release, but its expected to be out on vinyl and in digital formats sometime soon.
