While we previously reported that Queen was looking to release new material compiled from old Freddie Mercury recording sessions, NME reports that we could sooner be hearing new Queen material featuring another dead guy: Michael Jackson.

Now that they’ve seemingly run out of furniture to sell, Brian May says that Jackson’s estate has finally given Queen permission to release the duets, which were recorded back in the 80s.

“Michael [Jackson] used to come and see us when we were on tour in the States. He and Freddie became close friends, close enough to record a couple of tracks together at Michael’s house, tracks which have never seen the light of day,” said May to the Evening Standard, adding that the songs should be ready for release sometime next year.
