Calgary musician Rae Spoon‘s 2010 album Love Is A Hunter was a strong leap into the electro-pop infused folk heard on 2008’s breakthrough Superioryouareinferior, both albums highlights of their musical year and signifiers of an artist coming into his own. Today Spoon announced I Can’t Keep All Of Our Secrets, his sixth full-length due for release on January 10 on Saved By Radio records.

Said to be an even further wade into the electronic sounds of the previous two records, the new album was written about the sudden death of one of Rae’s friends. I Can’t Keep All Of Our Secrets features programming and beats by Lynne T (Montreal’s Lesbians on Ecstasy) and Berlin’s Alexandre Decoupigny. It was co-produced by Lorrie Matheson in Calgary, Alberta. It is one to look forward to.
