New Pornographers' Carl Newman has his iPad stolen out of his house

Carl Newman and his wife were spending time in a rental house in Los Angeles recently when burglars broke in and stole only one thing—their iPads.

“It was a place he and his wife were renting in LA—the bottom floor of a house—and someone broke a window while they were out, snatched their iPads, and that’s it,” Nils Bernstein from the band’s US label, Matador, told Spinner.

“it was creepy, since that part of the house isn’t visible from the street so it seems someone had cased the joint.”

Newman and his wife were put up elsewhere by the label, while Newman was just happy to find out that iCloud was reliably holding whatever info they lost. [via Spinner]
