TMZ is reporting that Dwight Arrington Myers, better known by his stage name, Heavy D, died earlier today. The Jamaican born rapper and actor, often cited as one of the most influential hip hop personalities of the ’90s, was best known for songs like “Now That We Found Love” and “Nuttin’ But Love,” whose “In Living Color” provided the theme for the groundbreaking sketch show of the same name.

Details remain scarce, although police report that they have ruled out foul play.
