This morning, the video for MGMT‘s cover of Bauhaus’ “All I Ever Wanted” was released to the masses, and because it helped re-kindle our appreciation for animated artistry, we’ve rounded up 11 of our favourite animated music videos… because if we only stuck to ten, there’d be no way to justify including Justin Bieber.

11. Justin Bieber – “Santa Claus Is Coming To Town”

See? (We’re sorry.)

10. Pearl Jam – “Do the Evolution

And now to complete your sense of overwhelming despair:

9. Bjork – “I Miss You”

Now imagine this as an iPad app.

8. Daft Punk – “One More Time”

What many Daft Punk concert attendees are convinced the band actually looks like.

7. Radiohead – Paranoid Android

No wonder Thom Yorke needed to dance.

6. Arcade Fire – “Power Out”

Insert here a pun about this list powering ON.

5. The White Stripes – “Fell In Love With A Girl”

Helping cement the idea that our LEGO dream houses were just strewn-about blocks/run-down crap shacks.

4. Gorillaz – “Clint Eastwood”

“Get off my lawn” – the real Clint Eastwood when we asked how this music video relates to him.

3. Kanye West – “Heartless”

And we’re going to let him finish, but we now know that Drake has the best “sit in the corner and cry rap” of all time.

2. The Beatles – “Eleanor Rigby”

Original Banksy?

1. A-Ha – “Take On Me”

“Missed Connections” of the 1980s.
