Last night Adam Levine took to Twitter to ask the people at Fox News for a favour. Sort of.

“Dear Fox News, don’t ever play our music on your evil fucking channel ever again. Thank you,” he tweeted for seemingly no reason.

Although apparently unprovoked, the tweet has led to reactions from two Fox News journalists, Red Eye hosts Andy Levy (perhaps best known for his Chris Brown rant) and Greg Gutfeld.

“Dear @AdamLevine, don’t make crappy f*cking music ever again. Thank you,” tweeted Levy, who later added “Maroon 5’s bio strangely fails to note the band was developed by the CIA as part of its enhanced interrogation techniques program.”

Gret Gutfeld was a little less subtle, first keeping it simple by tweeting “Dear adam, That’s not music,”  before launching into a bunch of jokes at Maroon 5’s expense (see below).

Rolling Stone reached out to Levine last night to see why he tweeted against the controversial right wing news station. Levine’s reps denied to comment, though.
