Arcade Fire helped to properly ring in this year’s Pop Montreal last night by playing a massive, free, outdoor coming home show; 100,000 gathered to witness what seemed to be a truly memorable gig, and Tourisme Montreal has assembled a short teaser of what you missed out on if you weren’t there.
It’s rare for a band to be able to command a crowd so large and still seem so huge themselves—and we’re not even talking number of members here. Check out some photos for a better look up at the Tourisme Montreal blog.
It looks like they even brought back the glowing interactive orbs originally seen at Coachella and part of a larger, ongoing interactive project; if you’re interested, learn more about that here in a Q&A we had with the project co-creators, but first, watch the footage from last night’s show above.
