Want to join The Smashing Pumpkins' record club?

Most of us obviously miss Columbia House, so imagine the joy that a Smashing Pumpkins record club will bring, especially since it starts with a free giveaway of the band’s early 8-track demo, “Drown.”

While Billy Corgan has yet to detail what exactly this record club will do (or why it’s happening), potential members can head to the band’s official site, enter their email and treat themselves to the nine-minute track, as well as a video of Billy explaining that they’re using the song “to get you to give up your very valuable and precious email.” The best part? Free stuff! (Which we hope includes those sheets of stickers with album covers on them because man oh man, those were the best.) [via Stereogum]
