DANGER: Questlove‘s trademark hair pick is facing extinction!
The Roots drummer says that even though he once ordered a huge supply of around 2,000 of the specific comb (yep, it’s always one of the same kind of comb), because when he meets people after shows, they often grab the combs right out of his hair.
“Of those 2,000, maybe I have, like, 60 left. Because people insist on taking them. When we’re in concert and I say good-bye, then they grab it outta my hair,” he told Vulture.
But it’s not exactly like everyone is keeping them as a sacred momento: Questlove says some people are just out to make a buck. “I found a few on eBay!”
