Metallica’s upcoming collaboration with Lou Reed has brought up a bunch of interesting questions, among them: why is this happening? Why is it called Lulu? And what the hell is it going to sound like? Well, it’s happening because why the hell not, it’s called Lulu because some of the songs come from demos written for a play of the same name, and as for the sound? The album’s first official clip dropped late last night. You can hear 31 seconds of “the View” below.

For better or worse, it actually sounds more or less exactly how you’d expect it to. Lulu is out October 31st.
