The full lineup for the tenth year of Pop Montreal (Sept. 21-25) has been revealed, and so has another little surprise: indie rockers playing sports.

The Pop. vs Jock charity basketball game will take place on Saturday, September 24th at the McGill University Sports Centre, and it’d feature all sorts of neat stuff such as Arcade Fire‘s Win and Will Butler playing the game, Régine Chassagne on the organ, a half time show featuring Kid Koala, and the world premiere bicycle symphony known as Drones, composed by Arcade Fire’s Richard Reed Parry. Plus guests like NBA veteran Matt Bonner of the San Antonio Spurs and Chris Tomson of Vampire Weekend. Yes. That is a Saturday.

All proceeds from this game will go towards DJ Sports Club, a non-profit charity organization in Montreal’s South-West borough that offers programs in sports and education to youth between 7 and 17 years of age.
