You know you’re going to end up seeing the Footloose remake, right? We’re not denying that we will, probably, at some point, and little spoilers like this make it all the more tempting.

Moviefone has an interview with the movie’s star, Kenny Wormald (who’s no Zach Efron but then again Efron was no Kevin Bacon), in which he talks a bit about the music in the movie.

“The song that I dance to in the film is by The White Stripes and it’s called ‘Catch Hell Blues.’ I don’t want to give away too much, but that’s the kind of music you vent to. I think you understand through the song how much anger and how much venting the character is going through. You look for that crazy rock, strong drums and strong percussion. ‘Catch Hell Blues’ is exactly that song.”

So much hate in a young heart. It’s for the manic warehouse dancing one, a classic from the original, and apparently the most grueling part of the remake. Says Wormald: “I’d say the most grueling preparation was for the angry dance—that’s the big scene in the factory where I vent all my anger out through dance and there’s a badass rock song playing.”

Badass! In case you didn’t own the White Stripes’ Icky Thump, you can listen to “Catch Hell Blues” below. [via Spinner]
