Listen to Green Day's tribute to Amy Winehouse

The tributes have been pouring in since Amy Winehouse’s untimely death, so why wouldn’t Green Day toss in their collective hat by premiering a new track, “Amy” at a recent gig in California.

In addition to 15 new songs debuted at the small show in Costa Mesa, the trio posted the lyrics to the track on their official website that includes lines like “dirty records from another time” and “27 gone without a trace.” However, aside from common sense, there’s been no actual indication that the song is indeed a tribute to Winehouse.

The band has recently announced that they’ve been “jamming and writing new songs for the last few months,” and are excited about premiering their “work in progress”.
