Did Kings of Leon cancel their U.S. tour because of frontman Caleb Followill's drinking?

A few days ago, Kings of Leon cancelled an entire U.S. tour (to the tune of something like $15 million) due to frontman Caleb Followill’s “vocal issues and exhaustion,” but signs that it may be for deeper health issues are starting to show.

Bassist Jacob Followill tweeted the following:

And today, gossip mag US Weekly is reporting that the real issue is singer Caleb Followill’s drinking. “They are trying to get Caleb to go to rehab. It is mostly for alcohol,” a source reportedly close to the band says. Last week at a show in Dallas, Followill said he was “gonna go backstage and I’m gonna vomit, I’m gonna drink a beer,” and then he left and did not return to the stage. The band’s management is now attempting to block videos of the incident.

Here’s hoping Followill can deal with his problems and continue to be a band that is really fun to make fun of for non-addiction-related reasons.
