Watch the new Young Galaxy video for "Blown Minded"

Young Galaxy haven’t sit still since the release of latest album Shapeshifting earlier this year; touring, a series of remix EPs of their own, and a contribution to the new Austra remix album Sparkle, have kept them plenty busy. The band is now getting set to head overseas on a world tour, and they’ve just released a beautiful new video for their song “Blown Minded.”

Created by Montreal artist Carine Khalifé, “Blown Minded” took four months of creating a series of paintings, then capturing them frame by frame with a fixed camera. “I think I listened to the song more than a thousand times and because I would often listen and focus solely on drums, voice, lyrics, or melody I was able to hear new things each time. I’m a night worker, and spent several hours at the window, looking at Montreal skies and lights,” Khalifé says in a press release. The result is quite stunning.
