At the end of each week, #Top40Tweets lists a cross-section of artists on the current pop charts and puts their tweets on display (along with their current chart number) for your enjoyment/scrutiny. This week, we look at 5 artists on the Billboard Music Charts.

#14: DJ Khaled – I’m On One feat. Drake, Rick Ross, Lil Wayne

2/3rds of the confirmed October’s Very Own Festival performers share an inside joke on twitter. Check out this cover of The Weeknd covering Drake’s “Trust Issues”:

FUN FACT: “Trust Issues” is a song that won’t appear on Drizzy’s forthcoming album “Take Care.” He borrowed the chorus from DJ Khaled’s “I’m On One,” and slowed it down to create the foundation for the track. He has claimed that it won’t be a radio single either, it’s just a song he posted exclusively on his blog, October’s Very Own. To prep for OVO Fest, check out our Guest Appearance Wish List.

#82: Ace Hood – Hustle Hard

I hope he’s not alluding to an impending night of debauchery, and he’s just about to have a quiet night in re-watching the DVD, stroking a cat on his lap and drinking lemonade.

FUN FACT: “Hustle Hard” is the ultimate soundtrack for doing just about anything. It makes you feel like a Titan if you listen to it while running errands.

#71: Afrojack – Take Over Control

Clearly, wacky Dutch DJ Afrojack’s main references for North American culture come from Will Ferrel centric media. Could be worse, I guess.

FUN FACT: Afrojack has a writing credit on Beyoncé’s “Run The World (Girls),” which has a total of NINE songwriters. The basis for the instrumental (“Pon De Floor”) was written by just Diplo & Switch of Major Lazer, so presumably it took 7 more songwriters (The-Dream, Beyoncé, Wesley Pence, Adidja Palmer, David Taylor, and Afrojack) to get the track up to speed.

#55: Taylor Swift – Mean

Not bad, Mr. Swift. But my favourite musical photobomb has to be this:

“Oh, hey ladies. It’s me, John Mayor. Can I join the fedora club?”

FUN FACT: Taylor Swift dated renowned celebrity photobomber Jake Gyllenhaal.

#7: Lady Gaga – Edge of Glory

Hooker-pop: Worst genre, or worst beverage?

FUN FACT Lady Gaga has dyed her hair so much over the past few years, that she is reportedly using Rogaine to combat baldness. True story.
