The cause of Amy Winehouse‘s death remains a mystery as WENN reports that today’s post mortem examination proved inconclusive.

While foul play is not expected, officials are still waiting on toxicology and histology reports to determine the cause of the tragedy, and results aren’t expected until October.

Meanwhile, TMZ has revealed that the singer was found by a security guard who had been appointed to look after her. According to friend and rep Chris Goodman, Winehouse was “in her bedroom after saying she wanted to sleep” and then was found not to be breathing when the guard went to wake her.

Emergency services were then called “straight away,” and while Goodman maintains that though no one knows how she died, she did die “alone in bed.” Very sad.
