Watch the Rob Zombie-directed laundry detergent commercial

“Don’t let detergents torture your clothes,” the latest Woolite commercial warns, “Save them. Long live your wardrobe.”

What the ad doesn’t say is that you’re watching a piece of weird history directed by Rob Zombie, the artist at the helm of such twisted horror films as House of 1000 Corpses and The Devil’s Rejects, nevermind frontman of hard rock/heavy metal band White Zombie (and continuing as a solo performer).

The video, featuring a punisher of sorts tormenting clothes, was shot in Vancouver, and according to Zombie, “It was sort of strange, but I love doing stuff like that.”
