The official video for Bon Iver’s first single, “Calgary,” off his upcoming self-titled album has been released and is one that can draw various interpretations. It involves a man and woman who awake in a swampy paradise and choose to offer their souls (we think) to join with the other saintly people in the ether.
Filmed in Fall Creek, WI. and written by lead vocalist/songwriter Justin Vernon, the video was directed by Andre Durand and Dan Huiting as well as produced by Daniel Cummings and Picture Machine Productions. Bon Iver’s latest album comes out next Tuesday.
