Liam Gallagher's bodyguard arrested for mailing bullets to people

It seems Liam Gallagher can’t stay out of the news, but this particular instance isn’t necessarily his own doing. Current bodyguard, business partner, and “constant companion” Steve Allen has been arrested and charged with sending death threats to two people.

Allen was booked recently as part of an investigation regarding letters received by Sam Berry and Claire Humphries, a couple set to testify against Allen in a case involving a concert safety company they co-owned called Risks Contained. Berry is suing Allen and has previously taken £54,000 ($86,000) from his former business partner.

Apparently threatening letters were sent to the couple’s home in Worcestershire, one which included bullets and the message: “Drop the case, or the next case will be yours.”

Previously Allen has worked security for Led Zeppelin, Blur, and Pulp among others. He is said to be managing director for Gallagher’s fashion brand Pretty Green, film company Savile Row Films, and production company In 1 Productions. [The Guardian]
