The dude who played the dude who invented Napster in the movie about Facebook must have really wanted in on the web technology action and has just dumped a ton of cash into Myspace. Justin Timberlake, teaming up with Specific Media (said to be a small ad-targeting firm), has helped purchase site for $35 million, which is embarrassingly less than the $580 million News Corp bought it for six years ago.
Justin, why. If you were bored, couldn’t you have made another album? Gone on tour? Just gotten a hobby for the summer until Saturday Night Live is back in production come fall? Were you just super high or something? Anyway when you have a chance to get back to us, that’d be great. [via WSJ]
