Finally: watch the official trailer for the upcoming A Tribe Called Quest documentary

It’s been steeped in controversy and lauded critically and now, Beats, Rhymes and Life: The Travels of A Tribe Called Quest finally has an official trailer to tease its July theatrical release (well, the U.S. anyhow, but Canada shouldn’t be too far behind).

The trailer features other hip hop trailblazers such as the Beastie Boys and Pharrell Williams testifying the importance of the New York group, and while we could probably do without all of those cameos from director Michael Rapaport, it still looks pretty stellar. You can watch the trailer above.
